GJ Steel Public Company Limited (GJ Steel) and G Steel Public Company Limited (G Steel) have been awarded Green Industry Level 4 (Green Culture) by the Ministry of Industry, recognizing the companies’ strong commitment to embedding environmental and social responsibility into their organizational values, business operations, and employee engagement at all levels.

This achievement reflects the companies’ dedication to fostering a “Green Culture,” which goes beyond compliance to become part of daily practices across the organization. Examples include operating Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology to produce recycled lower carbon Hot Rolled Coil, promoting resource efficiency through scrap and pig iron processing, and organizing community engagement programs that raise environmental awareness among employees and local stakeholders.

Since 2011, the Ministry of Industry has introduced the Green Industry Award to encourage businesses to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly practices. The award consists of five levels, with Level 5 being the highest. Achieving Level 4 demonstrates that GJ Steel and G Steel have successfully cultivated environmental and social responsibility as an integral part of their corporate culture.
