G J Steel executive shared his experiences regarding CBAM in the “Declaration of Intention Ceremony to cope with CBAM 3rd Phase,” arranged by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) and Chula Unisearch of Chulalongkorn University at Thailand Institute of Justice, Bangkok.

On 13 February 2026, Mr. Dechakom Boonma, General Manager of Corporate Planning and Marketing of G J Steel Public Company Limited, shared his experiences regarding CBAM in the “Declaration of Intention Ceremony to cope with Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) 3rd Phase,” arranged by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) and Chula Unisearch of Chulalongkorn University. There were 17 companies chosen to be part of the project and exchanged their experiences.

Moreover, Mr. Dechakom also shared his experiences to participants. He shared that the company had joined this project 2 years ago and it provided them with knowledge and understanding that they could apply with their process. Moreover, after they had been working on their report regarding CBAM, they realized that they cannot handle CBAM alone. They had to discuss this matter with their supply chain from upstream to downstream and also discuss with everyone before calculating everything. CBAM is a crucial measure impacting many industries, particularly companies exporting to the European market. Recognizing this challenge, it is unavoidable and it is even more important in the future. Therefore, collaboration from everyone is crucial, as we are not only adapting to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, but also preserving the environment for our younger generations.
