Executive from G J Steel attended the “Declaration of Intention Ceremony to cope with CBAM 2nd Phase,” arranged by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) and Chula Unisearch of Chulalongkorn University at Rama Garden Hotel, Bangkok.
On 17 February 2025, Mr. Yasuhiro Sakamoto, Chief Operation Officer of G J Steel Public Company Limited, attended the “Declaration of Intention Ceremony to cope with Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) 2nd Phase,” together with 22 companies who were chosen to be part of the project, arranged by Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) and Chula Unisearch of Chulalongkorn University.
Mr. Yasuhiro Sakamoto said that “CBAM is a crucial measure that directly impacts Thailand’s steel and metal industry, particularly companies exporting to the European market. Recognizing this challenge, we are committed to adapting our production processes to be more environmentally friendly, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and enhancing our competitiveness on the global stage.”
